UKBlackLanta is a vibrant community of individuals who now call Metro Atlanta home while proudly staying connected to their roots. Representing a rich blend of cultures and backgrounds—primarily Caribbean and African heritage—we share the unique experience of having lived in the UK and now embracing life in the heart of Georgia, USA.
Our mission is to celebrate every part of who we are by bringing together the sounds, energy, and cultures that shaped us. From Rare Groove, R&B, Soul, Garage, House, and Jungle to Lovers’ Rock and beyond, our sessions are a fusion of the music and vibes we grew up on, blended with the culture and experiences we now enjoy in the US.

Hotlanta Hangover 2027 didn’t begin in a boardroom.
It began with music, conversation, community… and a shared love for good energy.
For years, Angel S. — founder of UKBlackLanta — was an avid listener of Davinci’s radio platform and later his hugely successful Saturday Morning Shuffle Show on Mixcloud, joining listeners from across the UK

It began with music, conversation, community… and a shared love for good energy.
For years, Angel S. — founder of UKBlackLanta — was an avid listener of Davinci’s radio platform and later his hugely successful Saturday Morning Shuffle Show on Mixcloud, joining listeners from across the UK and beyond in the live chat community. The conversations were always filled with music, laughter, culture, connection… and one question always seemed to come up:
“So … how hot is Atlanta today?”
What started as casual conversation between listeners slowly became something bigger. Over time, genuine friendships and connections formed through music, shared culture, humor, and a love for good vibes.
During one of the shows, Davinci mentioned wanting to bring people from the UK over to Atlanta someday. Angel S. responded in the chat that she already owned an event venue in Metro Atlanta — and from there, the conversations moved offline.
What followed was the beginning of a genuine collaboration built on culture, community, entertainment, and the idea of creating something different.
Together with UKBlackLanta and Jet-Set Events, the vision for Hotlanta Hangover 2027 was born:
an unforgettable Atlanta gathering where UK travelers and international guests could experience the energy, music, food, culture, hospitality, and atmosphere of Atlanta through memorable events and authentic connections.
